A Pious Delusion-The American Trinity

Fundamentalist Christianity uses many tools to spread the word and expand its empire.
Sermons are not only delivered from the pulpits of churches and Sunday religious television programming, but also extend into the corporate world, specifically the world of A.M. talk radio.
This form of media is dominated by several wealthy corporate interests that serve as platforms for the word to be spread by the Christians that host talk radio programs. These hosts serve to institutionalize specific doctrines, or imprint an ideology upon the listening population. The listeners can then spead the ideology further when they interact with others.
It represents a melding of corporate and religious power.
This blending is part of a larger triad or "Trinity", comprised of these three elements:

This system operates on a continuous feedback loop, a form of symbiotic relationship where each member of the triad constantly supports and feeds the other members, and receives support in return.
The process can be pictured as a circle where a three-way back scratching exercise is performed.

Conservative right-wing Christian position:
America needs to repent and get back to its roots, which are based on the Bible and Christianity.
God blesses America because this country was founded on the truth of the Bible and the Gospel.
Liberals, secular progressives, and other God-haters have caused America to drift without a solid moral compass to guide it.
This great nation was founded on Bible principles, firmly rooted in the Word of God.
God-fearing Christians will display the power of God to all the world as they crush the liberal filth that has corrupted the land.
The time for a great revival is now, and the Bible shows us how to take back America for Christ.

2 Chron 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Praise Jesus and spread the Word! Every knee will bow to His glorious majesty. Philippians 2:10

Commentary:
This is a prime example of how religion and nationalism are combined to form a hybrid monolith, a manifestation of selected principles from the world of religion and politics.
Proper thought requires proper belief, and the Bible is the authoritative source for these things.
Anything that fails to conform to this line of thinking is not only against God but is also against country as well.
This is how the line of thinking works:
Secular(not religiously affiliated) equals liberal, which equals socialist, which equals communist, which equals evil.
People like this are wicked in the eyes of God and are also traitors to their country.

The Christian then employs an appeal to authority and cites a Bible verse(2 Chron 7:14) to enforce the idea that the only belief system which can provide morality to humanity is Bible based Christianity.
In this case, the verse used from the Old Testament Bible is a pious fraud because Christians claim they are not subject to the laws of God anymore. They have no intention of seeking the God that the verse refers to.
They believe a human sacrifice called "Jesus" released them from the constraints of keeping the law.
They cite Paul, a Jewish apostate, as the justification and authority for their rejection of the laws of God(Rom 10:4, Gal 5:18).
However, the God that gave out the holy law had this to say about people that turned away from his law.

Prov 28:9
He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer shall be abomination.

Psa 119:155
Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.

As the scripture indicates, Christians can pray until they are blue in the face, but until they repent of following a false teaching and get back to observing the laws of God, they are no better than other wicked people that inhabit the nation.
Christians that spout scripture and label others as "evildoers", can show their sincerity by taking off the pious masks they wear and start leading by example.
They can repent of their belief in Paul and start obeying the laws given by God, as found in the Bible.
If they don't want to do this, then they should stop quoting the Old Testament Bible, drop the façade of wanting to obey God, and be honest with the public.
In reality, these seekers of power and control over others have no intention of altering their behavior.

[Also of note is that the Christian reference to Philippians 2:10, which talks about people submitting to Jesus, is manufactured from a hijacked section of the Old Testament.
The actual context is found in Isa 45:22-24, and it says absolutely nothing about Jesus.]

Conservative right-wing Christian position:
American capitalism, the American way, is the most successful system ever known, and that success is based squarely upon the sound foundation of traditional Biblical values, particularly Christian values.
But there is a Culture War going on between good and evil.
There are groups in America that hate the nation and want to make it a spawning ground for immoral values and behavior.
The main faction behind this subversive movement are Secular Progressives, who are godless liberals and socialists, that seek to pervert the American way of life.
They favor anti-American and anti-capitalist ideas such as income and wealth redistribution.
It's the job of faithful believers to expose and rebuke these people, to prevent them from poisoning the minds of young people, who are the future of America, the greatest country on God's green earth.

Commentary:
This is a standard form of propaganda, designed to reinforce the triad power system described earlier.
The axis of Corporate-Political-Religious power is validated and elevated, while any competing thought or belief is vilified.
Ironically, the propaganda vilifies early Christians and Biblical teachings.
The early Christians practiced a form of communism, where money was put into a common pot and distributed by a central authority.

Acts 2:44-45
And all that believed were together, and had
all things common;
And sold their possessions and goods, and
parted them to all men, as every man had need.

Acts 4:32-35
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but
they had all things common.
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and
distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

Personal financial interests were deemed wicked, and in Acts 5, a husband and wife dropped dead due to their guilt, because they had held back part of the proceeds from a private sale of land and did not turn all the money over to the central authority, which was the cult leaders.
This isn't capitalism or free enterprise, nor is it a promotion of personal financial freedom or individual ownership rights.
However, it is a wonderful example of wealth redistribution and central planning.
The early Christians were damn "Commies", who are the scourge of civilization according to Christian right wing radio personalities and preachers.

The Bible is also anti-capitalism in a way that would destroy the modern capitalist system if its teaching were applied to the American economy and financial institutions.
Bible values say that no interest can be charged on money lent to a fellow countryman.
Interest can only be charged to foreigners.

Exo 22:25
If thou lend money to my people, the poor with thee, thou shalt not be to him as a usurer:
ye shall charge him no interest.

Deut 23:19
Thou shalt
take no interest of thy brother, interest of money, interest of victuals, interest of anything that can be lent upon interest:

If America is a Christian nation as so many preachers boast, then employing this Biblical value would destroy the capitalist American financial system.
The American economy is built on debt and credit, with huge institutionalized lending agencies providing trillions of dollars in loans to Americans, and charging interest on those loans.
Interest rates are absolutely vital to capitalism and the so-called American "free" market is anything but free in this regard.
The price for money is manipulated by a central planning agency called the Federal Reserve, which deliberately interferes with free market forces. Shades of Communism!
The manipulation of interest rates is deemed so important to the health of the economy that the entire world waits in anticipation of what the Federal Reserve will do in regard to raising or lowering rates.
Why are conservative Christians not condemning one of the pillars of capitalism, the charging of interest for borrowed money?
Why are they silent about this anti-Biblical practice?
Why are God-fearing Christian businessmen charging other Christians interest on loans?
Where is the outrage that flows so easily from their mouths when anti-Biblical actions are taken by "liberals" and others that live outside their charmed circle?
The late tycoon Kenneth Lay, presided over corporate(Enron) fraud and theft, yet as a Christian, he was not labeled an anti-Bible bigot or a traitor to his country as "liberals" are.
Perhaps this was because "Kenny Boy" helped fund the political aspirations of Christian politicians.
The triad of Corporate, Political, and Religious power is alive and well in America.

Jesus himself was a stinking "liberal" and wanted his followers to sell their belongings and redistribute whatever wealth they had acquired to the poor(Luke 12:33). John the Baptist also said that personal property should be shared(Luke 3:11).
Jesus preached that the profit motive impaired service to God.
Luke 16:13
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.
Ye cannot serve God and mammon(money).

Conservatives warn about the evils of a central power taking income from some and giving it to others, yet the Christian clergy has no problem extorting money from people and distributing it to themselves in order to finance their lifestyles and evangelical empires.
Flocks of worshippers are routinely told that if they don't tithe 10% of their income to the Lord, with the church acting as the collection agency, then they are holding back on God and will incur his wrath.
That story in Acts 5 about two believers dropping dead for holding back income certainly comes in handy!

Preachers and church leaders have no problem invoking an Old Testament law to extract money from people but at the same time they claim Jesus has freed them from the chains of the Old Testament law.
Apparently, Christians are no longer subject to the curse of the law(Gal 3:13), but an amazing exception is made when holy shysters need the law back in place in order to milk money from the faithful.
Praise the Lord, what a miracle!

While the Bible says that man cannot serve both God and money, Christian power brokers and conservative talk radio hosts have no problem trumpeting the superiority of the American system, which is built on a fundamentally dishonest currency, known as the dollar.
In reality, the government of the "greatest nation on God's green earth" practices legalized conterfeiting to pay its bills.
The dollar has no backing other than the promise of the government that it's worth something.
Printing In God We Trust on a piece of paper doesn't give it any intrinsic value.
The so-called "greatest nation on God's green earth" has evolved into a flag waving, debt worshipping, consumption driven tribe of locusts.
Ironically, the empire building aspirations of this nation, including its military adventures, are financed to a large extent by communist Red China, whose products are bought by the Americans and are paid for by dollars created out of thin air whenever a loan is used to finance the consumption. The "commies" then invest the dollars they received in exchange for their goods, back into American bonds, financing the budget deficits of the Americans.
Conservative Christian talk radio hosts won't mention this economic reality because it would soil the image of America that they work so hard to create and sell to the masses.
The American superior morality and way of life is made possible by the willingness of evil communists to lend the Americans what they need to maintain their standard of living.

Another bastion of the American way is NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing).
NASCAR races on Sunday, which is the Christian Sabbath, and the race event is opened with a Christian holy man giving the invocation, where the proceedings are blessed specifically in the name of Jesus.
The drivers are paid for their work, and secular corporate advertising is plastered all over the cars that they drive around in a circular manner, in races that can last for hours.
One could sure feed a lot of hungry little children with all the gasoline money going up in fumes to fuel those high powered racing cars!
Naturally, Jesus has no problem with his followers spending their money on modern day Roman chariot races rather than helping starving little children, and Jesus also has no problem with some of the sheep from his flock working on the Sabbath.
Jesus must approve of this because a Christian holy man chanted some magic words, a national anthem was played, and singing was performed by Christian singers.
The fourth commandment of the famous Ten Commandments is cast aside like an old, outdated newspaper.
Exo 20:8-10
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it
thou shalt not do any work…

Christian fundamentalists scream "religious persecution" if the Ten Commandments are not posted in public places, but they don't say a word about NASCAR laughing in the face of their God.
Remember folks, Jesus said that man cannot serve both God and money!

This type of phenomena shows just how subjective and man-made the Christian religion is.
Jesus has evolved into exactly what these people want him to be, and this is because their version of Jesus is simply a surrogate ego, a cardboard cutout of their own fears and preferences.
